Writing Articles to Increase Credibility and to Build a Profitable Business

Writing articles has turned me into a writer in two different ways. First, it made me get into the habit of writing every day. Second, it helped me to improve my writing skills so that I am able to write a three to four hundred word article in less than one hour.

What you may not know about article writing is that it will help you to build your business, whether you work online, offline, or do a combination of both. I write articles to build my own list for my online business, to promote affiliate products, and to market for three small services businesses in my community.

By writing and submitting articles, you are making a permanent record of your thoughts, ideas, and information. Once these articles become indexed by Google and the other search engines, you will have established yourself as an expert in your field. Writers become authorities on the internet and others will come to you to get more information. Even the word author comes from the word authority, meaning one who is knowledgeable.

There is a method of article writing that has worked well for me. I ask people what they need help with, and then answer their questions by writing an article about it. This way many people get the answer to their question, and I build my credibility by giving them helpful and useful information. The information I provide will be the very best I am capable of writing, so I may take time to do some research on the topic, depending on how much I am already familiar with.

My article title is very important to how often my article will be read. I want to include my keywords so that people who are searching for information on the topic I am writing on will be able to find my article when they do a search on Google on another search engine. This means that I can be on page one of Google for my keywords, instead of having to pay for an ad.

At the very end of your article you will want to include information about your blog, web site, or an affiliate product. This doesn't mean that you should tell the readers everything about yourself, but instead you should gently invite them to download a free report or audio recording that will give them more reason to join your list and become a prospect for you. This will make your articles even more valuable, as more and more people get to know who you are and what you can do to help them.
